BELGAUM: A 47-year-old man with two wives and two children allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl here on Tuesday.The police, according to a complaint filed by the victim’s parents, arrested Kutabuddin Sanadi of Kasai Galli for allegedly raping a minor. The victim, police said, asked Sanadi, a puffed rice vendor, for some puffed rice. He then invited her into his house and raped her when his family members were away. The victim’s family members were also not at home when the incident occured. The girl’s father works at a vegetable market and her mother works as a maid servant. Relatives of the accused, after enquiring with the victim why she was crying near her house, asked Sanadi to flee. They also allegedly warned her not to disclose the matter to anyone.Once the victim narrated the incident to her parents, they rushed to the police station and filed a complaint against Sanadi. Sanadi has been remanded in judicial custody and the victim has been admitted to the district hospital for a medical checkup.
