They ‘confiscated’ liquor bottles in large numbers.Later on, they broke some bottles and expressed their ire on negligentexcise officials. They alerted the East police personnel, who went to the spot and seized the liquor bottles.District president, BJYM, Ratakonda Viswanath said that, it is mandatory for liquor shops to be closed on Republic Day, Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti, but people choose to ignore it. “It is unfortunate that officials, who are supposed to ensure that these shops remain closed, are not doing their jobs,” he said, while demanding action against officials.
