Strongest Battlegrounds Uppercut: Quick Guide

How to Do an Uppercut on Strongest Battlegrounds

Attack 4 times and press Jump before the last punch. Any character in the game can do an uppercut (sometimes called a Mini Uppercut) during their normal attacks. Start by attacking the other player with standard attacks or punches. Right before your fourth attack, press and hold the Jump button to finish off the combo with an uppercut that stuns your opponent and sends them into the air. PC: Click the left mouse button (M1) to do a basic attack. During the 4th punch, hold down Space. Phone or iPad: Tap the Attack button with the fist icon. Hold down the Jump button with the arrow icon during the 4th punch. Xbox: Press B to attack and A to jump during the 4th punch. PS4: Press Circle to attack and use X to jump after the 3rd punch.

Activate your fourth ability if you’re playing as The Strongest Hero. The Strongest Hero is one of the main playable characters and is based on Saitama from One Punch Man. The Strongest Hero’s Uppercut attack is stronger than a standard uppercut, but it also has a 20-second cooldown before you can use it again. PC: Press 4 on your keyboard. Mobile: Tap the Uppercut ability at the bottom of the screen. Xbox or PS4: Press the Right Bumper button.

Basic Combat Moves in Strongest Battlegrounds

Downslam Use your attack 3 times and then press Jump immediately afterward. While you’re in the air, press attack again to slam your opponent into the ground and momentarily stun them.

Dash Dashing allows you to quickly move around the battlefield and evade attacks. The direction you dash depends on which way you’re moving when you activate the ability. Side and backwards dashes work great for repositioning or getting away. Forward dashes deal an extra attack when they’re finished, but they can also leave you stunned if you aren’t careful. PC: Press Q. Phone or iPad: Press the Dash button with running person icon. Xbox: Press Y. PS4: Press Triangle.

Block Blocking protects you from damage from all basic attacks, but more powerful abilities may break through and still hit you. You also move slower and can’t attack or use abilities while you’re blocking. PC: Press F. Phone or iPad: Press the Block button with the shield icon. Xbox: Press X. PS4: Press Square.

Critical Hits If you block as soon as a player attacks, you will hear a different, louder sound that signals a perfect block. After a perfect block, your next regular attack will be a critical hit and deal extra damage to your opponent.

Black Flash A Black Flash is when you perform a perfect block right after landing a critical hit against an opponent. When you Black Flash, your next standard attack will do 6 times its normal damage, and it makes black and red light effects appear around the player.

Common Uppercut Combo Techniques

Uppercut Dash Right after performing an uppercut, press the Dash button to do a forward dash. Quickly turn the camera while you’re dashing so you move in a small loop and end directly underneath the player. If you do the move right, your opponent will roll back and be vulnerable to another attack. Use an ability or another combo after an Uppercut Dash so your opponent doesn’t have a chance to block or defend against it.

Uppercut Jump Start by doing your main attack 3 times. Then, jump in the air next to the other player. Instantly attack again to immediately land an uppercut. When you pull this off, you use another ability while you’re mid-air even though you can normally only do them on the ground. If you press Attack too late, then you’ll do a backslam onto the ground instead.

Uppercut Flick After successfully hitting an uppercut, do a forward dash in a small circular loop. End the movement right next to the other player to punch them and knock them further away from you.

Wall Combos If the other player is backed up against a wall, use your normal attack 3 times and then perform an uppercut. Immediately forward dash your opponent into the wall to deal an extra 12% damage. Each character has a unique wall combo attack. The Strongest Hero: You wind up a sneeze and send your opponent back into the wall. Hero Hunter: You punch your opponent and kick them behind you with a backflip. Destructive Cyborg: You spin around your opponent and kick them to the right. Deadly Ninja: You pin your opponent to the wall with a sword and kick them to the left. Brutal Demon: You hit your opponent up and hit them to the left with a baseball bat. Blade Master: You stab your opponent with a katana and strike them to the right. Wild Psychic: You slam a boulder into your opponent and send them flying behind you. Martial Artist: You rapidly kick your opponent against the wall and send them to the right. Tech Prodigy: You attack your opponent with mechanical arms and punch them downward. Sorcerer: You create a magical blue orb that instantly splatters your opponent. KJ: You hit your opponent with a powerful slap and send them flying to the left.

Uppercut Techs for Specific Characters

The Strongest Hero: Uppercut Strike While you’re battling, jump on top of the other player’s head. As soon as you land on their head, use your Uppercut ability. Even though you’re above the other player, your attack will still hit them and send you both into the air. It can help to do a downslam or mini uppercut first to stun your opponent and make it easier to jump on their head. While you’re in the air, you can hit them with another attack or ability.

Hero Hunter: Uppercut Hunter’s Grasp As Hero Hunter, attack 3 times. Then, do an uppercut while jumping. When you’re over your opponent’s head, activate your Hunter’s Grasp ability to grab and throw them further away from you.

How to Get Better at Strongest Battlegrounds

Split mobile controls on opposite sides of the screen. By default, the control buttons are positioned on the right side of the screen when you play Strongest Battlegrounds on mobile. If you want to make it easier to pull off combos, try placing the Attack and Block buttons on the top-left side of the screen so it’s easier to press multiple buttons at the same time. Tap the gear icon at the top of the screen. Select the Move Buttons option. Drag and drop the buttons where you want them on the screen. Tap Move Buttons again to lock their positions.

Test out attacks and combos on a practice dummy. If you’re new to the game or just want to try out different characters or combos, load into a private server and find a practice dummy. Try stringing together different attacks to see what works and what doesn’t. Practice dummies don’t move around or react like real players. After you’ve warmed up, ask a friend to join in so you can practice your combos and attacks on a moving target.

Use the same character to master them. Even though it’s tempting to play as a different character each time you load the game, stick to a single choice so you can really learn their abilities. The more you play and practice with that character, the better you’ll do. Once you’re confident playing as a single character, test out other characters in a practice server before taking them into a match.

Dash around players to attack them from behind. Attacking another player head-on makes it a lot easier for them to block the damage and counter-attack. Instead, when you’re approaching your opponent, press the dash button while moving to the side. Quickly turn around so you move behind the other player. Then, you’re free to attack them with any of your abilities. Side dashes have a faster cooldown than forward or backward dashes, so you can use them more frequently and without getting stunned. If another player dashes toward you, use a side dash at the same time to get around them and make a surprise attack.

Keep track of ability cooldowns. Your abilities have a cooldown time before you can use them again. Make sure they’re charged and ready to use when you approach your opponent so you can hit them with a powerful move when they’re stunned. Try to remember when your opponent uses their abilities as well. While their abilities are cooling down, they can’t counter your attacks very well for a short time.

React to your opponent’s play style. Each person will fight a little differently, so observe how another player moves and attacks. Look for patterns in what they do during a fight so you can counter them the next time they try it. Example: If you notice a player frequently side-dashing and landing an uppercut behind you, try to turn around and block the attack when they side-dash again.

What's your reaction?
