London: Exchanging gifts, going out for parties, and getting drunk might be a usual affair on Christmas, but it seems that what most people will not have time for, is sex.
A poll of 6,000 people found that 59 percent of them hit a sex drought during the festive period, thanks to all that free flowing food and drink.
And, it seems that the season of joy will not be seeing much festive spirit in the bedroom, for rows about in-laws and exhaustion will be putting a dampener on the intimacy between couples, reports The Sun.
The poll, by sex shop Ann Summers, also found that something as simple as wrapping presents can cause problems — with 90 per cent of women admitting the stress caused their sex drive to drop.
However, while the December 25 is sure to be a sex-less day for a lot of couples, the new year won’t be seeing a repeat performance, for the poll also found that 68 per cent of couples plan to make up for the lack of intimacy by getting hot and heavy on New Year’s Eve.
