BANGALORE: The Lokayukta Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing of a case involving former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa to Friday as the counsel for him and his kin were absent.Counsel Ravi B Nayak was absent and Judge K N Sudheendra Rao posted the case to Friday. However, he heard the arguments placed by C H Hanumantharaya on the fourth case filed against 10 accused, including Yeddyurappa, his sons B Y Raghavendra (MP), B Y Vijayendra, son-in-law Sohan Kumar and others. The case was filed by advocates Sirajin Basha and Balaraj contains allegations of illegal denotification of lands at Uttarahalli, Agara and Anekal. In the meantime, the court has said that it would hear the arguments over the bail application filed by MLAs Krishnaiah Shetty, Hemachandra Sagar and others. Meanwhile, the High Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing of a petition by Yeddyurappa seeking to stop the proceedings against him. In his submission, Yeddyurappa said that the respondents, Sirajin Basha and Balraj, had obtained sanction from the Governor to file one complaint against him but had instead filed five complaints against him. Counsel for the petitioner Jaikumar S Patil in his submission said that the special court judge has issued summons without observing this.A single judge of Justice B S Patil adjourned the matter till Friday for further hearing.
