As most of you already know, the entire world is reeling under serious recession. The Gaming industry, once considered immune to this sort of recession has been hit badly and tons of developers/publishers have either stacked their staff or shut down shop completely.

In such dismal times spending oodles of money on a single game may seem a tad insensitive so keeping your plight in mind we’ve scoured the streets to come up with a mammoth list of kick ass games that won’t dent your wallet while providing hours of entertainment.

Since the list is turning out to be pretty vast, we’ve divided it into various platforms and today we’ll start off with the oldest one, that also offers some of the best deals on the market; the PC.

Far Cry – Rs 299

Forget the repetition that was Far Cry 2. Far Cry right here was an awesome first person shooter set on a tropical island that offered players, great visuals, awesome gameplay and killer A.I. that brought even the most hardened FPS veterans to their knees.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – Rs 499

The best GTA game ever made, San Andreas had everything you’d expect from a free roaming action game so yes, if you don’t own this game till date, slap yourself real hard and purchase it ASAP.

GTA IV – Rs 499

It may not be the best GTA game ever made, but at this price point it’s tough for GTA IV not to make this list.

Rayman: Raving Rabbids – Rs 299

If shooting stuff and killing people aren’t your things, you may wanna try this party game out that’s a hit with the kids and the women. Indulge in over 70 mini-games alone or with friends as you liberate Rayman’s world from the dastardly Rabbids.
