TIRUCHY: A team of CB-CID sleuths, led by ADGP Archana Ramasundram, conducted a probe on Wednesday at Thiruvilakurichi, the spot where minister N Mariyam Pichai died after his car rammed into a truck.Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had ordered a probe into the accident after suspicions were raised over the cause of death.On Wednesday, a team led by ADGP Archana Ramasundram visited the spot. The ADGP also interrogated the driver, Anandan. Later, Archana discussed the case with IG (central zone) K Vanniyaperumal, DIG (Tiruchy range) AG Mouria, CB-CID DIG Sridhar, Perambalur SP (in-charge) Najmal Hoda and CB-CID SP Rajeswari.She also questioned the accident’s witnesses, Ravichandran of Thirivilakurichi, Perumal of Irur and Mahendran of Paadalur, for over two hours.
