The CBI has registered a case against Sanjay Kumar, an IRS officer of 1991 batch, for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday carried out searches at seven places in three cities after registering a case of alleged possession of disproportionate assets against Sanjay Kumar, Financial Advisor and Chief Administrative Officer at Employee's Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).
CBI sources said a case has been registered against Kumar, an IRS officer of 1991 batch, for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
They said searches have been carried out at seven locations in Delhi, Mumbai and Patna including the office of EPFO here at Bhikaji Kama place.
