HYDERABAD: Senior IPS officer and special director of the Central Bureau of Investigation Balwinder Singh on Thursday reviewed the progress of the investigation into three highprofile cases- alleged illegal assets of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, illegal mining by Gali Janardhan Reddy and the Emaar scam- by the local CBI officials.
Singh, an APcadre officer on deputation to the CBI, is on the first visit by a senior CBI official from the headquarters in New Delhi ever since the local CBI office was asked to probe the cases. Till now the joint director has been visiting Delhi often to brief his senior officers.Singh held a series of meetings with joint director VV Lakshminarayana at the Dilkusha Guest House. Both are understood to have discussed the progress of investigation in the three cases and the future course of action. Singh is on a twoday visit to Hyderabad. 'What needs to be done further and how to go about it was discussed,' sources said.
