Prattipadu (Guntur) Incumbent: Mekatoti Sucharita This faction-ridden segment is reserved for SCs but political dominated by Kammas.First-time MLA Sucharita lacks support from even YSR Congress leaders. She won by a slender margin of 1,500 votes in 2009. People expect the fight to be between the TDP and the Congress which is likely to field the PRP loser last time, Vinay Kumar.Macherla (Guntur) Incumbent:Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy People in Macherla feel that the resignations by Jagan loyalists are unwanted. The Jagan camp is hoping that the 30,000 Reddy voters in the constituency will back them fully. But both the Congress and Telugu Desam are also likely to field candidates from the same community, thus dividing the vote.Ongole (Prakasam) Incumbent:Balineni Srinivasa Reddy The three-time MLA and former minister is expected to retain his seat though he could be up against a stiff fight by the Telugu Desam which has good hold in the Ongole town. The Congress will be bolstered by the merger of the Praja Rajyam Party but it may not tilt the scales in its favour during the byelections.Darsi (Prakasam) Incumbent:B Siva Prasad Reddy Mining money is what matters here.According to a rough estimate, the three main candidates belonging to the Congress, TDP and PRP, spent close to Rs 50 crore in the last election.Siva Prasada Reddy has a difficult task in getting reelected. The TDP is considering the candidature of MLC Sidda Reddy, who won from the local bodies.Kovur (Nellore) Incumbent: Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar ReddyThe rebel TDP MLA stands a good chance of getting reelected. Prasanna Kumar, belongs to a political family and has no strong opponents either from the TDP or Congress. He also has good contacts with the public in the constituency. The YSR sympathy factor will be an added advantage for him.Udayagiri (Nellore) Incumbent: MekapatiChandrasekhara Reddy The Mekapati family wields enormous influence in this segment. Re-election on a YSRC ticket will be easy for him.Interestingly, most of the people in Nellore said the CBI case against Jagan is any factor at all. Even if Jagan found is guilty, it will not affect the YSRC prospects in the state was the majority opinion in this Rayalaseema district.Payakaraopeta (Visakhapatnam) Incumbent:G Baburao This is an SC-reserved constituency but majority of voters, around 40 per cent, are from the Kapu community.Baburao is likely to face a tough time against the TDP’s Chengala Venkata Rao.It remains to be seen how much the corruption probe will dent Jagan’s image. The Congress is yet to find a suitable candidate.Tekkali (Srikakulam) Incumbent: Korla Bharati Bharathi is expected to find the going tough. She has no popularity in the constituency. This will help the TDP’s likely candidate K Atchennaidu. After the sudden demise of her husband K Revathipathi soon after his election in 2009, Bharati contested in the byelections and won with a slender margin of 1,600 votes.Narsannapeta (Srikakulam) Incumbent:Dharmana Krishna Das Roads and buildings minister Dharman Prasada Rao’s brother Krishna Das appears to be facing an uphill task. Prasada Rao is likely to field his younger brother D Ramadas on the Congress ticket but since the Prasada Rao family also faces allegations of corruption, there is a possibility of voters turning to the TDP.Narasapuram (West Godavari) Incumbent: M Prasada Raju The winning chances of M Prasada Raju in Narsapuram are bleak. The Congress appointed Kottapalli Subbarayudu, who joined Congress from PRP, as incharge of the constituency and he is likely to be the Congress candidate in case of by election. Subbarayudu has good influence in Kapu community.Polavaram (West Godavari) Incumbent:T Balaraju Balaraju has been a nonperformer as an MLA.His close follower and DCC member G Mohan Rao did not join the YSRC. There was a poor response to Balaraju’s rally organised after he resigned as MLA.The reelection of Balaraju is very doubtful and is facing a tough fight from both the Congress and the TDP. Ramachandrapuram (East Godavari) Incumbent: Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose He is likely to win the byelections. He is known as a YSR loyalist for several years and he has a clean image in the constituency.Whether Jagan Mohan Reddy will be able to whip up a YSR sympathy wave or not, Subhash Chandra Bose is likely to emerge as a winner.Anaparthi (East Godavari) Incumbent:N Sesha Reddy Sesha Reddy, an educationist, has no say in his community. His own caste voters are against him. He may not win on a YSRC ticket if he faces the byelections.TDP is likely to field N Mulareddy, while the Congress nominate il likely to be S Ramareddy. When the Congress votes are divided, it will be advantage for the TDP.Kakinada (East Godavari) Incumbent:Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy Chandrasekhara Reddy also may not find acceptance because of the movement against corruption sweeping the country. The first-time MLA, is a known follower of Jagan, and will find the going tough though he has done some work for his constituents. He may win only if Jagan kicks up a sympathy wave.Eluru (West Godavari) Incumbent:Alla Nani Nani has a good hold in the Kapu community and is also known as a good worker. But this may not come to his rescue in the next election. He does not have the kind of individual image required for one to get elected even if macro-factors work against him.The TDP is likely to field Maganti Babu and Congress’ likely nominee will be Moses Raju.It will be a fight between Nani and Maganti Babu.Though majority of the voters like Rajasekhara Reddy they may not show same feeling towards Jagan.
