New Delhi: A conman who hoodwinked city police by escaping from a government hospital in Pune where he had got himself admitted for a fake illness, has been re-arrested.
Posing himself as the PA to the chief minister of Maharashtra Vilasrao Deshmukh, he promised job opportunities to unemployed youth in the government as well as the private sector.
The crafty swindler is accused of cheating nine persons off Rs 7 lakh.
The conman, who has been under the police remanded since May 10,complained of chest pain.
For which he was admitted to the Sassoon Hospital at Pune City, where he was being kept handcuffed.
The first thought that would cross a Bollywood movie buff ‘s mind would be that Patole has been possibly inspired from the movie Bunty Aur Babli.
A movie that traces the lives of a con-pair who find easy money to survive in the big-city, by conning people. Similar seems the case with Patole.
A ward boy at the hospital where he was being held acted quick by reporting to the police that Patole had escaped. He was tracked down at a quarry at Chinchwad, twenty-five kilometers from Pune city.
