Cops seize python kept at empty house

KOCHI: The City Shadow Police on Tuesday seized a 3ftlong Python kept at a house at Valanthakkadu Island near KundannoorMaradu area. The police conducted an inspection at the house on the basis of a tipoff received by City Police Commissioner M R Ajithkumar. The Python was tied and kept in a covered barrel in the empty house.
The inspection was conducted as per the instructions given by Special Branch Assistant Commissioner M N Ramesh. The team included Shadow SIs Mohammed Nizar and Suresh Babu. The police also sought the support of the Forest officials to shift the python to a safe place. ENS
