HYDERABAD: Soon after the High Court ordered a full-fledged CBI probe against him, YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “God is there and he is watching everything.” Taking a moral high ground, he told reporters in Kadapa: “I have faith in the judiciary. Justice will prevail.” In the same breath, he alleged that he was a victim of the Congress ‘witch-hunt.’ “When I resigned from the Congress on November 29 last year, the I-T department served me a notice the same day,” he recalled. However, the ruling Congress was not satisfied with the I-T notices and asked Textiles Minister P Shankar Rao to file a writ petition in the High Court, he alleged. “I am a man of my word and left the Congress to implement the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s welfare programmes. As I was committed to my ideals, I am facing a lot of problems,” Jagan claimed and said when he launched the YSR Congress, he was well aware that he would have to face these kind of problems. He also took a swipe at the Telugu Desam, accusing it of joining hands with the Congress to target him.
