KOCHI: An all-party meeting will be convened to discuss the controversy over the allotment of interim tender for the display of advertisement on lamp posts next week, Mayor Tony Chammany said on Friday.“The date of the meeting will be finalised next week,” the Mayor told the Councillors. His decision came after the Opposition’s strong protest in the second consecutive day which almost interrupted the special council meeting on Rajiv Awas Yojana on Friday.Meanwhile, ruling front councillor N Venugopal on told Express that the Mayor should reconsider the decision to entrust the Rotary Club with the renovation of Ravipuram crematorium. “It is a Rs 1.5-crore project and the councillors did not even have an idea about how Rotary Club was planning to raise funds for the renovation,” Venugopal added.
