Thane: A 50-year-old crane operator died at a hospital in the district after he was allegedly knocked down by his colleague at work last week, police said on Tuesday. The deceased Prakash Patil not allowing the unidentified accused to do overtime is believed to be the trigger behind the incident, said inspector Sanjay Dhumal of Wada police station.
The incident occurred on December 14, following which Patil was admitted to MGM Hospital in Vashi where he died on Monday, police said. He was a resident of Abhitghar in Wada taluka.
A case of murder under section 302 of IPC is registered against the unidentified crane driver and owner of the firm where Patil was employed and search is on to trace them.
