New Delhi: It was no ordinary fight as a man ended up losing his earlobe. It was bitten off and swallowed, allegedly by the aggressor.
The horrific incident took place on Tuesday night in North West Delhi's Sultanpuri area.
Jitender Kumar, a driver, was abused by two men, Santosh and Deepak, who police say were drunk.
A fight followed soon after. Jitender was overpowered when Deepak pinned him down and Santosh bit off his earlobe, say the police.
"My uncle's son was badly beaten and abducted by these men (Santosh and Deepak) in the afternoon. Later in the evening when I went in to meet them they started abusing me as well. The man then bit my ear off as well," said Jitender.
Jitender further said that it was he who called the police helpline 100.
The accused are in police custody now. They have been charged under section 324 and 34 of the IPC.
Jitender is said to be recovering in hospital. The police have not found his earlobe that was bitten off. The police are also scanning the CCTV cameras from the area.
