Inspectors, DSPs and SPs will meet people on every Monday between 10.30 am and 1.30 pm and 2 .30 pm and 5 pm.  The officer concerned should be able to answer  people’s questions properly. The DGP also directed the senior police officials to be in touch with public representatives and media, and make   prompt enquiries on petitions, FIRs should be registered on the spot depending on the importance of representation, and FIR copy or acknowledgement be given.  The applicant should be informed about forwarding the application to the SHO concerned if it does not pertain to him.“Erring officials will be made accountable and any sort of complaints or lethargy will be viewed seriously.
