ERODE: DMK town deputy secretary K Chandrasekar has submitted a petition to the Superintendent of Police against woman police constable SK Valli and her husband V Srinivsan of Karungalpalayam, alleging that they had lodged a false complaint against him with the anti-land grab cell a few days ago.In his petition, Chandrasekar stated that he knew the couple during their stay in Periyar Nagar some years ago. However, Srinivasan lodged a complaint alleging that Chandrasekar had brokered the sale of his house at Karungalpalayam on November 9, 2006 after obtaining his signatures on blank papers. The complainant further said that Chandrasekar filled up blank papers and called him to the registrar’s office, but did not keep his word on the sale price.Srinivasan also alleged that he (Chandrasekar) and DMK town secretary Mayor Kumar Murugesh signed as witnesses in the sale deed and produced a copy of the sale deed as evidence.Refuting the charge, Chandrasekar said that he did not obtain Srinivasan’s signature in any document. He said he was not involved in the transaction and merely signed as a witness. Only after the couple sold the house, did he come to know of it.He presumed that since he did not accompany the couple to the registrar office, his signature could have been forged. As the couple’s act caused mental agony to him, he sought suitable action. He, along with his lawyer Saminathan, said that the police had already held an inquiry on the couple’s petition and came to know the facts after summoning the buyer of the house also.
