Dont execute Rajiv Gandhi assasins, says VCK

PUDUCHERRY: Cadre of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), on Monday, staged a demonstration here urging the Central Government not to execute the death sentence awarded to those involved in the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.They raised slogans asking the government to commute the death sentences of Santhan, Murugan and Perarivalan, whose clemency petitions had been rejected by President Pratibha Patil recently.S Pavanan, VCK state unit secretary,  addressed the gathering.
