Seeking further leads in the investigation into the Pathankot terror attack, the investigating agencies are questioning a class 4 employee who works at the airbase.
According to sources, the employee, who is a civilian, is being questioned to ascertain if any inside help was provided to Pathankot terrorists.
Sources say that the perimeter wall of the air base was breached using a nylon rope. The flood lights near the wall were not working and hence the investigation is underway to ascertain if the lights deliberately sabotaged.
The National Investigation Agency has been widening its scope of investigation to check whether the terrorists got inside help to enter the Pathankot Air Force base.
As per sources, the two groups of terrorists which attacked exactly knew the meeting point inside the airbase raising suspicion that a prior detailed recce of the IAF base was done before.
Meanwhile, the post-mortem of all terrorists who have been killed was done on Thursday. As per sources, the terrorists died due to multiple bullet wounds. The viscera samples of all terrorists have been sent to Chandigarh forensic lab. The postmortem shows the terrorists had liquid food prior to the attacks.
