SANGAREDDY: Sadasivapet police produced Praja Shanti Party president and evangelist KA Paul before principal junior civil judge Y Padma in Sangareddy on Saturday. He was remanded judicial custody till June 8.Police had registered a case against Paul following a complaint that his staff attacked the then collector Piyush Kumar and Sangareddy RDO Mrityunjaya Rao when they visited GUM Charity City being run by the evangelist near Sadasivapet on July 18 in 2008. Paul, who is already lodged in Ongole jail after being accused in a murder case, was brought to Sangareddy on Saturday by Sadasivapet CI N Ravi and his staff.By the time Paul was brought, the court timing was over and he was taken to judge Padma’s hosue. On being remanded, police shifted him back to Ongole jail. Paul was absconding since a case was registered against him in 2008.
