Barcelona: Felipe Massa gave Ferrari a boost ahead of qualifying later on Saturday by posting the fastest time in the third and final practice session for the Spanish Grand Prix.
The Brazilian driver left it very late in his run to clock a best time of 1 minute, 21.901 seconds in mostly sunny conditions, enough to edge out Lotus' Kimi Raikkonen by .006.
Mark Webber was third quickest in his Red Bull, and Romain Grosjean showed he might threaten in Sunday's race with the fourth-best time for Lotus.
Three-time Formula One defending champion Sebastian Vettel was fifth for Red Bull, ahead of two-time F1 winner Fernando Alonso of Ferrari.
McLaren continues to struggle, however, with Jenson Button and team-mate Sergio Perez outside of the top 10 places for the second straight day.
