Mumbai: While releasing films is not considered a safe bet during the IPL season, the makers of Sharman Joshi starrer 'Ferrai Ki Sawari' have decided to be an exception.
The film will be released in the last week of April in the midst of the fifth season of IPL.
"We are releasing the film in the midst of IPL on April 27, 2012," director Rajesh Mapuskar said.
Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra 'Ferrai Ki Sawari' marks the next big release from his production after '3 Idiots' and the 'Munnabhai' series.
'Ferrai Ki Sawari' is the story of a father's endeavour to fulfill his son's dream.
Almost 60 percent shooting of the film, also starring Boman Irani, has been completed.
