Festival rush: Railway to run special trains

MADURAI: Southern Railway will run special trains during the coming festive seasons of Ramzan, Vinayaga Chathurthi and Onam to clear the extra rush of passengers.Accordingly, Chennai Central -Mangalore Central Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 22.30 hrs on August 28 and arrive at Mangalore at 14.00 hrs the next day. In the return direction, it would leave Mangalore at 19.20 hrs on Aug 29 and arrive at Chennai Central at 11.15 hrs the next day.Chennai Central?Mangalore-Chennai Central Superfast Specials via Coimbatore would leave Chennai Central at 20.45 hrs. on September 2 and arrive Mangalore at 13.00 hrs the next day. In the return directron,it would leave Mangalore at 11.45 hrs on Sept 4 and arrive at Chennai at 03.45 hrs the next day.The release said Chennai Central-Kollam-Chennai Central Superfast/Express Specials via Kottayam would leave Chennai at 15.15 hrs. on Sept 10 and arrive Kollam at 05.30 hrs the next day.Kollam?Chennai Central Special would leave Kollam at 11.30 hrs on Sep 11 and arrive at Chennai at 03.40 hrs the next day.The Chennai Central-Madurai Special would leave Chennai at 17.40 hrs on Aug 30 and arrive at Madurai at 03.45 hrs the next day.In return, it will leave Madurai at 18.00 hrs on Aug 31 and arrive at Chennai at 04.45 hrs the next day.The Chennai Central-Kollam Superfast Special will leave Chennai at 20.00 hrs on Sept 8 and arrive at Kollam at 10.45 hrs. the next day.
