Howrah: A fire broke out in a garment manufacturing factory in the Foreshore Road in Howrah district on Friday night, fire brigade sources said. The fire broke out in the garment manufacturing factory at around 7 pm.
As many as 17 fire tenders rushed to the spot to control the blaze, they said adding there was no report of any casualty or injury.
Fire Services Minister Javed Khan also rushed to the spot to supervise the fire fighting operation.
The cause of the fire was not yet know, they added.
Earlier on Friday, a fire broke out in a market complex at Pakka Bazar in Bantra area of Howrah district at around 1 pm.
Twelve fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the blaze noticed at about 1 pm in the three-storied market complex.
