THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Meteorological Department on Wednesday evening issued a warning to the fishermen against venturing out to the sea. Strong winds, occasionally reaching 45 to 55 km per hour, are likely to lash the coast, the Met Department informed. There sky will generally be cloudy in the Thiruvananthapuram region. One or two spells of thundershowers have also been predicted. The maximum temperature is around 32 degrees Celsius and minimum is around 24 degrees Celsius. Though the Met Department had issued a warning to the fishermen last Friday, it was not conveyed to the fishermen community. The following day, as many as 18 fishermen went missing in the rough sea. Of them, 17 were rescued. The body of Johnson, a fisherman from Poonthura, is yet to be found.
