The state Government has accepted the request of senior IPS officer P Gautam Kumar for voluntary retirement and issued GO RT No 3534 to that effect. On June 26, Gautam Kumar, principal secretary (home) had served notice to the government seeking voluntary retirement. He will be retiring voluntarily under Rule 16 of All India Services (Death-Cum-Retirement Benefits) Rules, 1958. His retirement will come into effect from September 26. In fact, Gautam Kumar was to retire on October 31, 2012.
