Ghaziabad: A man allegedly raped a woman at gunpoint on Saturday morning when she was going to her farmland in Ghaziabad, police said. A man identified as Brijmohan nabbed the woman, who hails from Galand village in Mussourie, as she was on her way to her field, and pushed her into his house, SSP Prashant Kumar said.
According to the woman's police complaint, he raped her at gunpoint and then threatened to kill her and her relatives if she told anyone about the crime, the SSP said.
Investigation in the matter has been initiated, Kumar said.
Mussourie police suspect the woman might be levelling rape allegations as revenge, to punish those who put her brother-in-law behind bars a few days ago, he said.
Meanwhile, four youths on Saturday kidnapped a girl in Loni town when she had gone to buy medicines with her sister-in-law, police said.
