Chennai: A college student allegedly murdered her mother and two younger sisters in Tamil Nadu on Monday after they told her she couldn't marry the man she loved.
The 19-year-old woman, the daughter of a head constable, hit her mother with a grinding stone in Gandhigramam, Karur district. She then stabbed her sisters, aged four and nine. The first-year student tried to burn her mother's body, police said.
Another sister, who too was attacked, called the police. The woman is missing after the incident. A case has been registered and searches are on.
