The High Court on Friday directed the state government and the education department to provide an alternative building to Little Angel Modern High School in Domlur Layout.
Parents of the school students moved the HC after the owner of the land got a decree of eviction against the school authorities. The school authorities are now constructing a new building.
Hearing the petition, Justice Ram Mohan Reddy directed the school management to file an affidavit, giving an undertaking to move to the new premises. The Deputy Director of Public Instruction, who was made a party in the case, submitted that the department would temporarily permit shifting of the school.
The school management stated it would complete the construction of the new building within this academic year (2012-2013).
The owner of the land stated before the court that he would not execute the decree of eviction till the school shifted to another premises taken on lease. The school authorities were told to vacate the building, as the lease contract had come to and end.
