TRIPUNITHURA: The Hill Palace Police Station had achieved a new image much earlier by opening the first ever public library in the station complex. Going a step ahead on Sunday, this ‘Police Library’ also became a film club with the formal inauguration of ‘Kazcha Cinema Vedi’.City Police Commissioner M R Ajithkumar inaugurated the film club with the screening of Color of Paradise, a classic directed by Majid Majidi. “We have designed this Police Library Film Club with an aim to inculcate awareness among our school children about world classics,” said P R Santhosh, Hill Police Sub Inspector, the master brain behind Kazcha Cinema Vedi. Nearly 60 students from 12 schools in the Municipal limit participated in the inaugural screening.In the afternoon, an interactive session was held to give a detailed narration of the visual magic created by the director through the film. Excise Minister K Babu inaugurated the interactive session in which K J Paulose, former VC of Kaladi Sanskrit University, spoke. Alex K John, Assistant Commissioner, Thrikkakkara Sub Division, presided over the function.
