Colin Farrell Checks Into Rehab
He's boasted about his love of the wild life, but it seems it's all got too much for the rough and ready Irishman.
Colin Farrell has checked into rehab after reportedly collapsing at a party.
The one-time Ballykissangel actor, who is currently filming his role as Sonny Crockett in the film remake of Miami Vice in Uruguay, fell ill at a production shindig.
He was treated by a private doctor and has since checked into rehab.
"Colin Farrell has checked himself into a treatment centre for exhaustion and a dependency to prescription medication which was prescribed to him for a back injury," his LA representative, Danica Smith, told the press.
"No other comments will be made at this time." Col will need to get back on his feet soon to complete a hectic schedule of films in the coming year.
He's due to appear in a Bob Dylan biopic alongside Cate Blanchett, thriller Borgia with Scarlett Johansson and Pride And Glory with Nick Nolte.
He's also still locked in heated negotiations with ex-girlfriend and Playboy model Nicole Narain who wants to distribute a sex tape they made some years back for profit.
Sounds like a rest would do him good.
Halle: My Seven Day Coma
Halle Berry's cornered the movie market for playing tough cookies - but she's a real-life battler too.
The Oscar-winner has revealed she once slipped into a week-long coma and faces a daily fight to save her life.
The X-Men actress has been talking about how she fell seriously ill when working on the TV show Living Dolls at the beginning of her career in 1989.
"I felt tired but couldn't take a breather. I felt I needed energy but I didn't even have a minute to pop out and get a chocolate bar," Halle tells the Daily Mail.
"I felt more and more tired and one day I passed out and I didn't wake up for seven days which is obviously very serious."
Halle was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and was forced to overhaul her diet and exercise habits.
She also has to test her blood sugar levels twice a day and inject herself with insulin.

"Because no one expects you to be doing it, no one really notices," she says of her daily jabs.
The consequences of not taking care of herself are huge, including the risk of kidney failure and heart disease.
"They told me I might lose my eyesight, or I could lose my legs," she says of the doctors' diagnosis.
"I was scared to death, I thought I was going to die." However, in true tough cookie style, Halle's turned the illness into a "gift" that gives her strength.
She's now a mouthpiece for a campaign for Type 2 Diabetes awareness, encouraging the overweight and those with a family history of the disease to get a blood test.
Kate's webcam strips for Len
Kate Beckinsale says she strips for her husband via an internet webcam when she is away filming.
She says the nightly sessions help keep the passion alive during long trips away from director Len Wiseman.
Kate, 32, told Playboy magazine: "It was Len's idea and he set them up. He tells me what to wear each evening. It really helps our relationship.
"There's no way we are keeping it clean. That's the whole point. It's just like when you get a photocopier and you just have to do one of your bum. It's just one of those rules of life."
But Kate says she draws the line at dressing up as Wonder Woman for her sci-fi fan husband of 19 months.
She added: "I know there were rumours about that but I don't. My husband may be a geek but he's not that bad
Mary-Kate Not Talking To Paris
There we were thinking that Paris and her gang hung out, nibbling on lettuce and sipping low-cal water every day.
But it seems that all is not well in the land of young ladies on the Hollywood celebrity circuit.
First off, there was the big fall out between Paris and Nicole Richie, then there was chat that Lindsay Lohan had fallen out with Hilary Duff and then Ashley Olsen was furious with Paris for romancing her twin's ex-lover.
And now said twin, Mary-Kate Olsen, has spoken out about the rift. MK started going out with Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos in May this year, and happily introduced him to her pal Paris Hilton.
But after Paris called off her engagement to her Greek shipping heir, Paris Latsis, in October, Mary-Kate was dropped and suddenly Stavros was shacked up with Miss Hilton.
Mary-Kate told W magazine: "Paris and I always only had nice things to say about each other. Now I guess you can tell we're not talking. It's a hurtful and painful subject. I miss him and I love him, and I don't speak with him anymore."
