Sangrur: Congress MLA Arvind Khanna on Saturday said he was not in any way involved in Iraq's oil-for-food scam and claimed the official probe into the matter would clear his brother Aditya Khanna, who has been linked to the scandal.
Khanna was talking to reporters before addressing a meeting of party workers of Sangrur constituency during a mass contact programme launched by the Congress in the state.
Aditya, a kin of former external affairs minister K Natwar Singh and a NRI businessman, has been questioned by the Pathak Inquiry Authority that is probing the alleged involvement of Indian entities in the oil-for-food scam.
He returned to India from Britian in April as Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate authorities stepped up their investigations against him.
Arvind also refuted reports that his NGO Umeed had curtailed its operations in 550 villages and said it was focussing on organising multi-specialty camps every fortnight under the supervision of specialist doctors.
