Mumbai: Versatile actor Paresh Rawal, who has turned producer with his next film 'Oh My God', says he doesn't believe in promotions but being the producer of the film he will have to do it.

"There is a responsibility and also pressure but I will have to pay for it. I don't believe in promotions but I will have to do it since I am also the producer of the film, then I will have to do it. Mouth publicity is the best publicity but now it's the necessity we will have to do it," Paresh Rawal told reporters, before the music launch of the film 'Oh My God'.

The music launch of the film happened on the sets of Indian Idol post the press conference.

Paresh Rawal, who has shared the screen space with Akshay Kumar in many films including 'Hera Pheri', 'Bhagam Bhag', 'De Dana Dan' among others, will not just share the screen space in 'Oh My God' but will also co-produce the film.

Paresh says their journey was peaceful.

"As a producer when two different people meet in a platform they should trust each other and like each other as a human being. When it comes to production, even if you are working for 50 years, still you learn something new on daily basis. Overall our journey was very peaceful and meaningful," the actor said.

Adapted from the critically acclaimed and commercially successful Gujarati play, 'Kanji Virrudh Kanji', by Paresh Rawal, it tells the story of an atheist who incurs huge loses, when his antique shop is destroyed by an earthquake. The play in Hindi was titled 'Krishan vs Kanhaiya'.

Paresh said: "When I saw the play, I was very jealous that I was not part of that Gujarati play. Then we did the same play in Hindi. That time we decided to make a Hindi film on this."

"When it comes to film, you will have to concentrate on the visual part. So you will have to make it powerful visually. There is a lot of difference between the play and the film you are familiar with the subject but surprised by the new interpretation and new scenes. Many things that we could not show in the play we have shown it in the movie," he added.

Directed by Umesh Shukla, 'Oh My God' is co-produced by Ashvini Yardi, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. The film is slated for September 28 release.
