Sanjana, known for a steamy performance in the movie Ganda Hendathi, is a happy lass now. The reason: She is back from brisk shoot in the rain in and around Mysore for the movie Ondu Kshana, directed by Dinesh Baboo who is known for getting done with the movies within one or two weeks.Recalling the memorable moments of Ondu Kshana, Sanjana says the time spent during the shooting of Ondu Kshana would be remembered for quite long. ‘‘The weather was good and it was very nice to shoot in the rain. Director-cum-cinematographer Dinesh Baboo has done a neat job behind the camera. I love the song — Ee kshana — very much. I even downloaded that song on my cell phone.’’ Sanjana has also played the second lead in the movie Mailaari that completed 100 days of screening recently. She claims that she has played a different character in Ondu Kshana. ‘‘I played the role of a college student from Mysore who falls in love with the hero. She goes to any level to become closer to him,’’ says Sanjana. She is one among the three heroines in the movie Saagar in which Prajwal Devaraj is the hero. She prefers to play solo heroine in films but has no hassles to be part of a multi-heroine movies.‘‘It is not important how much footage you get in a particular movie. It is the impact your character makes on the audience.Haripriya and Radhika Pandit are the other heroines in the movie Saagar. I have acted in Ravichandran’s movie Narasimha,’’ explains Sanjana. Many of Sanjana’s movies failed to make a positive impact at the box office but she continues to be the favourite of Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu film directors. She had the opportunity to act with Mohan Lal in the movie Casanova. ‘‘I had been to Dubai for the song sequences of Casanova. Now, I have got an offer to act in one more Malayalam movie.Mammootty and Suresh Gopi are the heroes while Shaji Kailas will handle the megaphone. I am lucky to get an opportunity to act with top three Malayalam actors,’’ says Sanjana with a smile. She has every reason to smile with pride for getting a chance to act in the Telugu movie Mugguru, produced by D Rama Naidu of Suresh Productions. ‘‘I am balancing between Kannada and Telugu movies apart from acting in Malayalam movies,’’ signs off Sanjana.
