A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to find out the reasons for the crash, a Defence Ministry release said.
Chennai: A Kiran Trainer Aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Tuesday crashed on the outskirts of Chennai during a routine training sortie, but both the pilots ejected to safety.
The two-seater aircraft, which left the Air Force Station at suburban Tambaram, crashed near Iyancherry village, some 30 km from Chennai, police said.
"A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to find out the reasons for the crash", a Defence Ministry release said.
