RAMANATHAPURAM: The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) personnel rescued five fishermen of Nagapattinam who were stranded in mid-sea, on Thursday.The five fishermen, including Singaravel of Nagapattinam, had ventured into the sea for fishing on February 1, when a snag developed at their boat engine which hampered further movement in sea, leaving them stranded. An ICG offshore patrolling vessel found the stranded boat far from Point Calimer. The boat was towed towards Nagapattinam and the fishermen were handed over to the respective departments on Feb 2.
