Immoral trafficking racket busted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The City Police on Wednesday busted a racket involving six persons, including four women and two men, which was engaged in immoral trafficking in a rented house at Thycaud here. The accused were identified as Praveen S Nair, 36, of Vazhayila, Vijayakumar, 26, of Amachal, Lekshmi alias Jithu, 20, of Maranalloor, Yamuna alias Bhama, 28, of Naruvamoodu, Uma, 40, of Chullimanoor and Nisha, 24, of Sakthikulangara in Kollam.Police said that the gang had been involved in immoral trafficking for the past few weeks at a house rented by Yamuna at Poundkadavu near Thycaud. They were arrested by the Cantonment Police following a tip off. Police have also seized several mobile phones and a Qualis car used by the accused. All the accused are under police custody. and were interrogated. They will be produced before the court on Thursday.
