Rajneesh Singh, aged 35, has been admitted to RML hospital with 30 per cent burns after trying to self-immolate.
New Delhi: A 35-year-old man Rajneesh Singh tried to immolate himself at New Delhi's Jantar Mantar on Saturday afternoon.
Rajneesh was sitting in protest since May 25, 2006, to appeal for help in the release of his wife and three children who were allegedly kidnapped in Etah (Uttar Pradesh).
He has been admitted to RML hospital with 30 per cent burns. While saving him the ASI posted there also suffered 18 per cent burns.
The condition of both of them is stable, hospital sources said.
