New Delhi: Italian jewellery and luxury goods brand Bvlgari launched its first flagship store in the capital. The flagship store at DLF Emporio was inaugurated by Bvlgari's CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, who was earlier associated with Tag Heuer for 12 years before becoming the CEO at Bvlgari. Indian designer Anamika Khanna was also present at the launch. Speaking to ibnlive.com, Bvlgari's CEO Jean-Christophe Babin said, "We want to execute the vision of the brand to make sure that jewelleries should be the driving force of the company, not only in terms of inspiration but also as a driving force as shares of profit." When asked if he wishes to have an Indian brand ambassador as the face of the brand here , he said, "We are standing for the manificent Italian jeweller. For us Italy and Roma are mutually important. Not only Italy is the blood and DNA of the brand but we also want to convey our uniqueness through an Italian ambassador, the name is Mrs. Carla Bruni. At this stage it is important for us to be more focused, so from the jewellery we created, to the crafting, to the metal work, to the face embodying the brand, we wanted to be Italian. When they see Bvlgari they shouldn't only think about beauty for jewellery but also about the background of 3700 century, which has been among the richest in the humankind history when it comes to art and architecture."
