India to help Afghanistan in broadcasting
Delhi will help Kabul in capacity building in the fields of broadcasting and institutional development.

New Delhi: India, which is playing an active role in the reconstruction of Afghanistan, will now also help the war-torn country in capacity building in the fields of broadcasting and institutional development.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard will be signed here tomorrow between Information & Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni and visiting Afghanistan's Minister for Information & Culture Sayeed Makhdoom Raheem.

The MoU will also entail cooperation and lending of Indian expertise in policy development project, press functioning, content management etc, said sources in the I&B Ministry.

India is involved in a wide range of sectors there, identified by the Afghanistan as priority areas for reconstruction and development.
