London: Bond villain Javier Bardem struggled to play a cyber terrorist in 'Skyfall' because he doesn't know how to use a computer. The 43-year-old actor, who has 20-month-old son Leo with wife Penelope Cruz, says he struggled in some scenes, in which he plays cyber terrorist Raoul Silva, because he knows nothing about technology, reported Showbizspy.
However, his incompetence was hidden by clever camera angles.
"Cyber terrorism, I don't know what that means myself. Because I basically cannot send an email. That's like a whole different world to me. I'm so behind the technology these days. It's kind of scary. That's why Sam (Mendes, director) put the camera behind me when I was at the computer," Bardem said.
The actor also said that he was lost when it came to the scenes with firearms as he was clueless about the weaponry.
"I'm lost in that, too. I didn't even know what mine was called. For the most part, I just put in some earplugs and just shoot," he said.
