BANGALORE: The Special Court on Tuesday adjourned further hearing on the disproportionate assets case against TN CM J Jayalalithaa till December 8.The court was to record the statement of Sasikala, the second accused in the case, but her counsel, Santhana Gopalan, filed an application seeking her exemption from personal appearance.The counsel said that the charges against Sasikala were made in 1997 and the evidence ran to over 3,000 pages. Hence, she requires to prepare to answer the questions. Judge B M Mallikarjunaiah granted permission and adjourned the case till December 8.The judge rejected an application by senior counsel B Kumar, who sought the court’s help to translate the questions to Tamil and record her statements in Tamil.
