Jharkhand High Court on Friday allowed JMM MLA Nalin Soren, now in judicial custody in connection with Rs 26 crore seed scam, to attend the ongoing assembly session.
The single bench of Justice R R Prasad allowed a petition moved by the MLA seeking permission to attend the session, which ends on Saturday.
Supreme Court had on July 18 allowed Soren to take part in the vote on confidence motion in Jharkhand assembly by directing him to surrender to Ranchi police.
The SC bench headed by Chief Justice Altamas Kabir had accepted Soren's plea for participating in the trust vote after his counsel Devdutt Kamath said that the MLA was ready to surrender.
After participating in the vote of confidence, Soren was produced before a special court on July 19 and was sent to judicial custody.
