Judge opts out of seer case

CHENNAI: Justice K Suguna of the Madras High Court on Thursday optedout from hearing the petitions  that were relating to Sankararaman murder case.When the matter came up before her today, the judge directed theRegistry to place the papers before the Chief Justice for posting thembefore another division bench.Originally, while passing orders on a petition from advocate Sundararajan, the judge had granted a stay on the trial in the case, which were pending before the Principal Sessions Court in Puducherry.Meanwhile, an issue relating to taped conversation between JayendraSaraswathi,  senior pontif of Sankara Mutt, and the PSJ arose. Mutt’s former manager Sundaresa Iyer had also filed a petition to vacate the stay.
