“Justice V R Krishna Iyer truly deserves such a recognition. His life has always been an open book. People may or may not agree with his opinions, but till date, there has never been a question of his sincerity,” said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here on Saturday.
He was inaugurating the Justice V R Krishna Iyer Chair on Human Rights at School of Legal Studies, Cusat. On the occasion, the Chief Minister recollected his days as a Finance Minister when Justice Iyer used to ring him up to point out even the minutest drain of public wealth.
Chandy also said that the activities of the Chair was what that really mattered than its constitution. On the occasion, Justice Iyer also declared his solidarity for Emerging Kerala.
“Everyone should realise that the government is organising such a mammoth event to bring development to the state. It should be supported,” he said, expressing his gratification over the honour showered upon him.
