Thiruvananthapuram: A retired Colonel opened fire at a group of people after an altercation related to giving side to the his s vehicle at Valiyavila in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday night.
He started an argument with the people, later went home to bring his pistol and opened fire. Two people - Manoj, 35 and Venkateshwara Rao, 58 - got injured. He fired three rounds, before the people managed to bring him under control.
The retired army officer was also manhandled by the public. The Colonel was later arrested by the police. It is said that he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of incident.
