KOCHI: The parents of the students of CBSE/ICSE schools will file more cases on Monday against the process of normalisation of marks adopted by the state government in the engineering entrance examination.“There are over 14 pending cases and as many as 10 students will file fresh cases on Monday,” Dr Sanil Kumar, a member of CBSE/ICSE Parents Forum, said.Meanwhile, Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb said that the complainants had every right to move court. “The officials have assured us time and again that the system is foolproof. The normalisation is based on the right calculations”, he said. The move to file fresh cases comes a day after the Education Minister said that the anomalies, if any, could be taken up only the next year.Various organisations and forums of the CBSE/ICSE have expressed resentment against the the statement saying that this would put the future of the thousands of students who wrote the entrance exam this year at stake.Meanwhile, a senior official with the Office of the Commissioner of Entrance Examination said the office had not received any complaints yet.“Moreover, we have gone by the prospectus. A decision on any change must be taken by the government”, the official said.
