Kids killed in bus mishap cremated
The six children who were killed in the bus mishap in Balli Qutubpur in Haryana, were cremated on Tuesday evening.

Sonepat: The six schoolkids, who were killed when the bus they were travelling in fell into a canal in Balli Qutubpur in Haryana, were cremated on Tuesday evening.

The bodies of Monika, Ankush, Priyanka and Viashal were cremated at a cremation ground on Sardhana road whereas the bodies of Jatinder and Manish were cremated at another cremation ground 25 kilometres from Sonepat.

Large number of resident of Bali Qutabpur village and some other villages including Sardhana were present on the occasion.

Several leaders of various political parties including MPs and MLAs were also present on this occasion.

These included Kishan Singh Sangwan MP and the National Executive member of the BJP, Deepinder Singh Hooda, who is also son of Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister, Anil Thakkar, MLA (Sonepat), Jatinder Singh Malik, MLA (Kailana), and Dr Arvind Sharma, MP (Karnal).

Commissioner of Rohtak Division, N C Wadhwa; Deputy Commission of Sonepat, Neerja Shekhar; Superintendent of Police, Yoginder Nehra and SDM Ganaur, Mange Ram Dhull were also present.

CPI (M) leader, S N Solanki expressed his grief and sorrow at the death of the school children and urged the government to take immediate and concrete steps to check such accidents in future. He also demanded Rs 5 lakh compensation fo each family of the victims.
