TIRUNELVELI: The Central Expert Committee is ready to reply to any query on the Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant from people’s representatives and State panel nominees on Friday.Informing this, Central expert panel member A E Muthunayagam said on Thursday that the committee was in the process of preparing a suitable reply, which is expected to be “more than what they had asked for”.“It will be given to them on Friday in English only. After that only its translation will be given,” he said.Muthunayagam added that the team members had visited the reactor building and control room on the first day of the visit. “We inspected the site. Now, we are studying the documents about the plant. As nuclear technology is an advanced form of technology, many are unaware of it. So, we have to educate them,” Muthunayagam said.Since 9 am, the experts arrived at the Koodankulam nuclear power plant in different groups.Of the 15 Central Expert Committee members, 12 visited the plant on the third day of the meet (Thursday).It is expected that the Central panel members would meet the State panel members at the Tirunelveli Collectorate on Friday.
